After photographing over 300+ families, one truth has become undeniably clear to me:
Childhood doesn’t wait for you to feel ready.
It doesn’t pause for the laundry to be folded, the toys to be cleared, or the house to be perfectly tidy. It doesn’t wait for the “right moment” or for parents to feel calm, organised, or prepared.
And yet, so often, I see parents arrive at a session worried, apologising even before we start:
“Sorry about the mess…”
“They’re usually a bit chaotic…”
“I’m not sure they’ll sit still…”
Trying to hold it all together. Trying to make it look a certain way. Trying to create that “perfect” photo.
